League of Young Communists USA Pledge

New prospects read aloud the pledge when they become candidates in the LYCUSA.

“To create a better world, I now take my place in the ranks of the international communist movement and the Party of Communists USA, the Party of the American working class (and its youth group, the League of Young Communists USA).

I take this solemn oath to give the best that is in me to the service of my class. I pledge myself to spare no effort in uniting workers in militant struggle against war, imperialism and fascism.

I pledge myself to work unsparingly in helping the organized labor movement, in the shops, among the unemployed, to lead the struggles for the daily needs of the American working class, understanding fully that class struggle is the central ingredient in solving the oppression of working people.

I solemnly pledge to take my place in the forefront of the struggle for the rights of nationally oppressed groups; against racism, sexism, ageism, xenophobia (anti-immigrant), homophobia, police brutality, anti-Sovietism, anti-communism, and against the chauvinist lies of the capitalist class.

I pledge myself to rally the American working class to defend the ideals of the former Soviet Union, and to support the former Soviet peoples in their struggle to reestablish the Soviet Union as a scientific socialist state.

I pledge myself to remain at all times a vigilant and firm defender of the Leninist line of our Party, the only line that eventually will insure the establishment of Scientific Socialism, which is the beginning of the transfer of power from the capitalist class to the working class.

I pledge to support the efforts of those in the international communist movement whose communist parties are centered on calling for the reemergence of Marxist-Leninist, anti-revisionist parties within the world communist movement. There is a need for a reinstitution of a center for coordination and strategisation of the world’s communist parties in their struggle against globalized capitalism.”

Leftist Guide to Protection from Anti-Communist / White Supremacist Violence

What deciding factors make protection and self-defense for leftists the most important?
• Local political demographics
• Size of city/town
• If there is other leftist organizations in the local area

If a lone leftist or small club of leftist live in either a dominantly conservative region, or in a place where conservative and liberal influence is equal, the subject of protection is at the highest importance.

If a lone leftist or small club of leftists live in a small town of a few hundred people, this could be a call to needing protection, depending on the political demographics.

If there is two or more leftist organizations in your general region, protection isn’t as much of an importance as long as leftist comrades stick to a squad of trusted leftist comrades.

Basic tips to help increase protection:
• Use a fake surname in case of hostile enemies finding your home or family’s home.
• Keep personal and political life separate.
• When outside of your home, always keep watch over your surroundings.

For leftist organizations:
Leftist organizations need to put a heavy focus in to protection and self-defense. Leftist organizations when out at rallies, must pull an old tactic from history, when the communist party use to have “Marshall’s” watching over their rally. Marshall’s being comrades dressed as regular civilians, who are either carrying or have quick access to a weapon, who would sit outside a rally. They would watch over the rally from the sidewalk in order to keep eyes out for right-wing extremists, or violent anti-communists. Being hidden among the crowd would make them unknown to the hostile opponent who would seek to harm those in the rally. This would ensure the safety of the comrades.

For the leftist organizations, the formation of a protection unit for comrades at a protest, strike, or rally, is the most important thing for the safety of our comrades in a reactionary society.

Those who are in such a protection unit must be well trained with a gun, legally carrying, and know basic hand to hand combat. They must also know how to use mace in times of less extreme confrontation.

For small leftist clubs:
Small leftist clubs, be it a club of 3 or 15 people, the subject of a protection unit isn’t assigned to a few specific comrades, but must be the majority of the club, if not the entire club.

Small clubs are very vulnerable and easy to be outnumbered by violent anti-communist and/or white supremacists. Thus, all within the small club must work together to learn how to protect themselves and their comrades. Subject like hand to hand combat must be learned. A workout plan for the club to put itself in shape. Possible gun training (If the club is of people over 18.) How to keep watchful eye over each others surroundings. It is also important to notice the body language of a hostile individual, watch his/her body language to make sure they aren’t going to reach for a weapon, or if they aren’t going to start punching, or otherwise. Doing this you can also mentally process if the individual has a bulged out section under the shirt, indicating the presence of a gun or knife.

For lone leftists:
For leftists who are basically by themselves with no club nor leftist comrades, it is important they find the best option to protect themselves from hostile violence. The best course of action for leftists who are by themselves in a hostile reactionary region, is to look for whatever someone left leaning organization is in their vicinity and try to form friends with their local members. This and/or seeking their family or best friends, people they can trust, to form a squad with. A protection unit of not really leftists, but trusted allies. It is also important not to leave by yourself without some kind of weapon for protection. Be it knife of gun (legally owned.)

The real enemy:
Many young people in the United States think that the main problem today is the fight between the growing ultraright and racist movements versus people with leftist politics. There are many questionable groups that create counterproductive situations. We urge leftists to study the events they are attending and all groups that are participating. Our goal is to bring socialism, to build a strong labor movement, a strong youth movement, and we must champion peace, respect and self-defense in these troubling times.

US Guatemalan Coup: Unjust evil, then and now

Why did the US invade and overthrow Guatemala in 1954?

READ THE OFFICIAL US REPORT TO CONGRESS

The United Fruit Company (now Chiquita) faced serious trouble when a revolution in Guatemala replaced pro-US military strongmen by a liberal democracy.

According to the “Sub Committee of Communist Aggression,” Guatemala had been taken over by Communists, “on the direct orders of the Kremlin.” The Soviet Union had no control of any foreign country, but the completely made up justification used by the US was good enough ammunition during the opening phases of the Cold War.

Because the Guatemalan people chose not to be controlled by the US, their country was invaded by military force and for forty years series of brutal military dictatorships was to cause economic strife, genocide, and political turmoil in the country.

The Committee on Communist Aggression testified to US Congress that the 100 Communists in Guatemala were sent fleeing after the military intervention campaign, and that the new “President” Castillo would receive a $6.5 million US development program (1954 dollars).

However, according to the US committee, the Communist conquest of Guatemala, a conspiracy concocted in the very halls of the Kremlin itself, was still continuing, as two Communists were still active in Guatemala, “. . . there were only two men in the entire country who today can be indentified as active Communists, Jorge Garcia Granados and Enrique Munoz Meany.” p. 3

However, most dangerous in Guatemala was, “Also from Chile. . . Virginia Bravo Letilier, a well-known woman Communist, who is now directing propaganda activities from East Berlin.” (p. 4) Nothing more dangerous to a country than a “woman Communist,” note the language used to degrade a human being to an animal or object!

“No group spoke as loudly or as frequently as did the Communists for higher wages, better working conditions, more education, land redistribution, and better standards of living.” p. 8

Ending the document, the Committee justifies the US invasion of a sovereign nation:
“If the United States would Assist Latin America . . . their governments would soon be able to maintain reasonably safe standards of living for their people and to hold out to them hope for continuing progress.” And that, “Even more important, the Latin American Governments would then be able to offer their people a real incentive for maintaining democratic institutions.” p. 20

Looking back sixty years, it is without doubt that the Guatemalan people look back at the US invasion as a historic event which “held out hope for continuing progress” and “maintained the democratic institution.”

The truth is the US invasion was unjust evil, then and now.

Statement of the PCUSA Peace and Solidarity Commission on Global War: April 21st, 2017

US imperialist aggression and military preparations throughout the world are solely menacing an imminent outbreak of WWIII. All its desperate confrontational maneuvers in every embroiled theatre, whether through a growing number of European states to threaten the Russian Federation, or in Syria, Iraq or Yemen, on the Korean Peninsula or in the South China Sea threatening China, are toward that unified (rationally unthinkable) strategic objective. US provocative actions globally are one in purpose; they are not at all comprehensible as interventions in separate conflicts. US disturbance in other countries is posed conjunction with its major front, NATO, through US inspired neo-Nazi movements in several European countries (notably the Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, and Romania); with its highly reactionary regional vassal states in Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the Persian Gulf principalities), with its subordinates in Asia (Japan, South Korea, and Australia); by its promotion of civil unrest in Latin America (prominently in Venezuela at the moment); and by its rapidly increasing militarization of the Artic in conjunction with its servant Canada.

US military and political involvement raising protracted regional tensions has instigated violent crises in several countries in both hemispheres, whether by wars of indirect or direct aggression or subterfuge. Intervention is simply an empty pretext: it is not predicated on independent or pre-existing civil conflicts in other countries or propagandistically imagined threats to the peace of the world by other states. Neo-Nazi movements in Europe would not exist without US organization and funding for previously suppressed and dispersed criminal elements in those societies. There is no civil war in Syria, inherently a stable, secular society and republic, not divided ethnically or religiously. The war there is one of indirect aggression on the part of the US since 2011 through brutally barbaric foreign mercenary terrorists, not Syrian rebels, from over 80 countries, ostensibly seeking to impose a theocratic autocracy but serving as a purely invented rationale for intended US-Saudi-Turkish partition of Syria. Indirect aggression and the pursuit of pretext for intervention leads of false flag operations, such as the sarin gas attack in Syria in 2013 and the currently alleged sarin gas attack in that country, when the known supplies for sarin gas to US-backed terrorist elements in Syria is coming from NATO through Turkey. The struggle in Yemen is not one of an Iran allied Houthi minority posing a threat against a US ally, the Absolute Monarchy of Saudi Arabia, but the opposite: a national resistance struggle of all popular democratic forces in Yemen against US-Saudi imperialist aggression. Oppositional elements in Venezuela are being directly organized and funded by the US, which would otherwise have no power to disturb the political order of that popular Bolivarian state. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, seeking only to defend itself from constant US threats for its destruction throughout its existence after an artificially US imposed partition empowering Japanese collaborationists among Korean capitalists and landlords against the unified Korean anti-imperialist resistance, is being demonized absurdly as if a representing a threat of global aggression. All conflicts threatening the peace of the world today have been instigated or contrived by US imperialism, which are being resisted at national levels by popular and progressive forces in the different forms confronted.

The political style of US aggression, whether conducted at the sole initiative of the presidency or with the consent of the Congress (by either declarations of war or authorizations for the use of force), is not the issue: US imperialist designs now threatening WWIII are. The constitutional question is a serious misdirection of the US peace movement. From 1812, the Congress of the United States has overwhelming supported all US wars, whether apparently defensive or aggressive. The US Congress today is fully behind all current US wars of indirect aggression and of military strike build-up throughout the world. Formal declarations of war or stronger resolutions of authorization will only give the appearance of popular support for continued and intensified aggression that does not exist and provide a pretext for treating opposition as treasonous, as is already occurring within the government under the anti-Russia hysteria generated during and since the 2016 US presidential elections.

What needs urgently to be done as a first step to stop US imperialist aggression in the world is the illegalization by the General Assembly of the United Nations of all wars of indirect aggression, as the Soviet representative to the League of Nations, Maxim Litvinov, appealed for prior to WWII but failed to achieve, and of any moves outside the UN framework to disarm other states. The Peace and Solidarity Commission of the Party of Communists, USA, calls on all domestic peace and anti-imperialist organizations to support the illegalization in international law of wars of indirect aggression and to support universal disarmament by negotiations under multilateral treaties (the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in particular), and the illegalization of any show of force by one state to compel other states to disarm.

Resolution of Solidarity with Comrade Alexander Batov Published

Anti-Communism is weapon of the capitalist system – It will not pass!

We, 27 Communist Youth Organizations from all over the world, sign the following resolution:

We condemn the arrest and detention of comrade Alexander Batov, a member of the Secretariat of the CC of the Communist Workers’ Party of Russia and representative of the Revolutionary Communist Youth Union (bolsheviks) (also known as RKSMb) at the National Preparatory Committee of Russia for the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.

Comrade Batov was arrested on 9th May, day of the Anti-fascist Victory of the peoples, with the falsified accusation of “civil disobedience”, in fact for distributing the RCWP’s leaflet about the actual content of the day, revealing the attempt to defame the content of this anniversary by today’s Russian authorities. He was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment and after his release he has been receiving a series of threats in order to stop any political activity.

These acts, attacks and threats against the free political action of the Communists show the fear of the bourgeois governments of all states in front of the power of the Communists. For us, the young communists from all over the world, these actions result to the strengthening of our steadfastness and will to continue with greater determination our struggle against capitalism, for socialism-communism.

Anti-Communism will not pass! We express our solidarity with RCWP and RCYL (b) and we demand all persecutions to stop immediately.
